Hope Street Hotel Wedding – Kerry & Richard

Back in March, at Easter weekend, I was lucky enough to be the wedding photographer for Kerry and Richard’s wedding at Hope Street Hotel, a boutique hotel here in Liverpool. As far as Liverpool city centre wedding venues go, this has to be up there with one of my favourites as the view from the upstairs balcony is so pretty for photographs, and I love the beautiful lighting in their room on the fifth floor.

Kerry and Rich contacted me last October to say they loved my work and were planning on a wedding in 2017 but they hadn’t set a date or found a venue so they’d be in touch in due course. Well, in January, they emailed again to say that they’d booked a venue and it was in three months time! Why not, eh! They are both super laid back and a three month turnaround didn’t seem to phase them at all, so I knew their wedding would be a lot of fun and I was right.

There are so many things I loved about this wedding; they both grinned their way through the ceremony, their families made me feel so welcome, they still wanted to catch a taxi down to the Albert Dock for a little wander despite the weather, Kerry wore blue heels in the day and white converse in the night (my kinda girl!), they both pulled the silliest of faces, their whole day was filled with laughter, they had a caricaturist (I love caricatures!) and every time I caught Kerry and Rich looking at each other, I could see their eyes twinkling like they were the happiest people in the world! It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of and I wish we could go back and do it all again.

I’m super chuffed with the way their wedding photographs have turned out as they showcase what a wedding, to me, is all about – a ton of smiles and a couple who are completely smitten with each other.

This is a small glimpse of their day; I hope you enjoy it. ♥
